Research & Development
Scholarly activity is a key component of our training, cultivating residents who are not only skilled clinicians but also valuable contributors to the medical community. Our research curriculum ensures every resident graduates with the essential skills for lifelong scholarship. This is supported by built-in monthly research meetings designed to provide continuous mentorship and progress tracking.
Residents will engage in a wide array of scholarly pursuits, such as quality improvement projects, case studies, literature reviews, curriculum design, teaching conferences, and clinical research.
Financial and institutional support for scholarships is robust. Funding is specifically allocated to support residents' research activities, including travel to national meetings for those presenting first-authored work. Residents have access to dedicated research staff at NWH and benefit from easy collaboration opportunities throughout the extensive Northwell Health system, including the world-class Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. This environment fosters intellectual growth and innovation, preparing our graduates to be compassionate, evidence-driven leaders in healthcare delivery.
